A former jockey could land himself in hot water after tweeting a racist remark towards AFL player Adam Goodes yesterday afternoon before being deleted.
“Mr Schmitt is a registered stablehand and as such is subject to the Australian Rules of Racing including those pertaining to the use of social media,” said a Racing Victoria statement.
“Racing Victoria Stewards are aware of the offensive tweet from Mr Schmitt’s Twitter account and are currently investigating the matter.”
