Form guides might not be Hugh Bowman’s forte but when it comes to an instinct for horses, the jockey has few peers.
Bowman has cemented himself among the top echelon of riders for the good part of a decade and this season has been no different.
He finishes the 2014-15 term as the leading Group One rider with nine elite victories, including the Golden Rose and Randwick Guineas aboard Hallowed Crown.
He has also firmed into favouritism to clinch the hotly contested Sydney jockeys’ premiership which he now leads after a four-timer at Warwick Farm on Wednesday.
