The show cause hearings involving the five trainers caught up in Victoria’s long-running cobalt saga will be open to the media.
Trainers Peter Moody, Danny O’Brien, Mark Kavanagh and the training partnership of Lee and Shannon Hope front Racing Victoria stewards on Wednesday.
They have been asked to show cause as to why their licences should not be suspended until their charges into the use of cobalt are heard before the RAD Board.
The Hopes have a date before the RAD Board on October 15 to have their charges heard, two days before the Caulfield Cup.
