Champion jumper Bashboy is being shaded for favouritism in early betting for the Grand National Steeplechase at Ballarat.
Bashboy is aiming for a record third Grand National win after successes in 2012 and 2013.
He has 74.5kg in Sunday’s $250,000 race over 4500m, the same weight he carried last year when he finished second to Wells who had 9kg less.
Bashboy headlines a field of 10 but it is last year’s Grand National Hurdle winner Sea King who has been installed the $3.20 TAB Fixed Odds favourite with Bashboy at $3.40.
This season’s Grand National Hurdle winner King Of Dudes is $3.80.
