Damian Lane has appealed the careless riding suspension that threatens to rule him out of Memsie Stakes day.
Lane has his appeal heard by the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Wednesday.
The in-form jockey has appealed the decision and severity of a 10-meeting ban incurred at Moonee Valley on Saturday.
Lane did not ask for a stay of proceedings and rides at Pakenham on Tuesday.
It means he needs to have the suspension overturned or the penalty varied to only three meetings to be free to ride at Saturday’s feature meeting at Caulfield.
